CHALLENGE
Design a video portfolio
WEBSITE
The goal was to direct potential employers to the site to view the client's work and hire them. So a 2-page format was chosen with the client's reel and a linear overview of their full portfolio presented on the home page. On the 'about' page, the client's software proficiencies and experience is articulated along with a contact card.
DESIGN
The client has an impressive range of work, from stop-motion animations and sci-fi dramas, to university promotions. I wanted to create a look that unified the client's work and emphasized their flexibility and range as an editor and colorist. To do this, I presented their work in a grid and worked with the client to arrange their strongest projects at the top with the work's title and their creative role.
I chose a bold sans-serif for headers and titles, and a serif for the body text. For the palette: black, white, sky-blue and peach as accents.
